“You’re The Freak” Goes to the Emmy Awards

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

“You’re The Freak”(who me? – no, I thought it was you…) goes to the Emmy awards, but that does NOT necessarily mean I get my freak on. Best bet is I don’t.

If that video doesn’t play, try this one:
You\’re The Freak

Against staggering odds and in defiance of all probability, my much-criticized ditty “You’re The Freak”, which rocked the world of “One Life to Live” last year and featured some of the freshest breakdancing moves ever seen on daytime television, has somehow slipped into the final five of the best song Emmy category of the daytime Emmy awards. “You’re The Freak – Reprise” – ballad version (original demo recording)

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

This is the original ballad version of “Freak – which I happen to like better than the original. It gets just a little bit soft, gentle and tender in there…

One Life To Live only used about 1:50 of the song on air, but since my contract stipulated I deliver an entire full-length song, here is the whole 4:30, in glorious raw, badly-mixed demo format, complete with out-of-tune vocals. Conveniently, the Walt Disney company already owns the publishing rights to the song so they can easily recycle it for that next Shrek sequel.

Paul Glass is paid

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Paul Glass – otherwise known as P Glazy, gets the full hiphopkins and Tiny Moo ringtone treatment. The main reason being that the man is so very money.

Paul has been rocking the world of big time television music in New York City since we-don’t-even-remember-when, and nobody ever gave him his own ringtone.
What’s up with that?

SO, we didn’t just rectify this embarrassing situation by giving him one, we gave him three.

Can’t front on the a cappella.

Paid in full.

“You’re The Freak” on iTunes

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Here is where you go to get the much more hi-fi sounding version than you get here on our modest little website. And only 99 cents US$ more than I am charging. It’s not like that 99 cents goes straight into my pocket anyway, but oh well… Song only – no video attached, which means you can’t get into that rad breakdancing scene in the school gym, but you can always visualize.

“You’re The Freak” demo version

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

As featured in the ABC television broadcast of One Life to Live, this the original recording that we recorded so the actors can learn the singing parts. I can’t imagine anybody wanting to listen to this, but since I paid in advance for the server space, here it is.
